This page describes the Equinix products that are currently available for online ordering.

Note: Ordering permissions are managed in the Customer Portal.

Smart View includes REST and Streaming APIs with near-real-time feeds: Alarms/Alerts Assets Environment Power Hierarchy Subscriptions	Easy integration with existing systems. Interconnection	Cross Connects (Documentation)	Customer Portal	Select guided ordering of Cross Connects for a simplified ordering experience based on your installed assets. Standard Cross Connects can be ordered up to 10 at a time for the same A-side and Z-side connection in the same IBX. Port speed options: 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps, and 100 Gbps. In the IX portal, you can: View your IX port traffic. Discover peering opportunities. Access peering events information. Multi-Lateral Peering Exchange (MLPE) Participation requests. Equinix Customer Portal permissions needed: Network Ports Ordering, and Internet Exchange Portal. Digital Infrastructure Services	Equinix Metal (Documentation)	Equinix Metal Portal	In the Equinix Metal portal: Select metro. Select server configuration. Connect to ecosystem through Fabric. Note: Metal permissions are managed in the Metal portal, not in the Customer Portal.	Access Equinix Metal APIs at Equinix Metal API. All Metal portal functions can be done through the APIs. Digital Infrastructure Services	Equinix Precision Time (EPT) (Documentation)	Access the Precision Time portal from Equinix Fabric.	Your available time services are displayed in EPT. Create a new service. Select NTP or PTP protocols. Select your time source. Edit or delete existing time services. Equinix Customer Portal permissions needed: Equinix Fabric.	APIs are not available for this product.	This product is completely digital and self-service. Turn-up is automated.

API Developer Platform

Use Equinix APIs to provision and monitor your infrastructure and automate your business processes (such as placing orders and adding new devices and connections).

You can access the Equinix APIs with a free account, or with your credentials for Equinix Customer Portal / Equinix Fabric / Equinix Smart View. At Equinix Developer Platform, you can:

Select an API from the API Catalog to see the request and response details.
Register for the API Playground to test-drive Equinix APIs.
Use the API Sandbox as a mock test environment to simulate Equinix product behavior.
