20 Gbps & 50 Gbps Virtual Connection Availability to Google Cloud

Equinix Fabric has added support for Google Partner Interconnect at 20 Gbps and 50 Gbps speeds in select metros. If your A-side port location and the Z-side Google metro onramp combination qualifies, these connection speeds will be made available to you during the connection creation process. You can create connections at these higher speeds with Google Quick Connect in the Equinix Fabric Portal.

These speeds are currently available for:

  • Customers with 100 Gbps EVPL Fabric ports; single 100 Gbps port and nx100 Gbps LAG group configurations are supported

  • Connections are available only in select metros (see list below)

  • Remote connections between metro pairs where higher speeds are supported. For details, see 25 Gbps & 50 Gbps Virtual Connection Availability.

Note: Customers should ensure their Google Cloud project has sufficient headroom in their VLAN attachment total Mbps quota to create 20 or 50 Gbps connections. Multiple connections (for example: two redundant 50 Gbps connections to the same region) could exceed the default maximum interconnect quota for your Google project and prevent a connection from being created. Customers can request an increase to their quota from Google.
