Notification Preferences

Use this procedure to ensure you receive important updates, to customize the notifications you receive, and to turn off any notifications you don't need.

IBX Policy Violation Notification Preferences

Receive notifications about violations of IBX policies (such as enforcement of our combustible materials policy and our airflow management policy). At least two administrators in your organization must be configured to receive IBX policy violations.

Note: If a violation is not corrected within the allotted time, a billable Smart Hands order is created automatically. IBX technicians will correct the issue, and your company will incur a Smart Hands fee.

IBX Services Notifications permissions

Important: If any of the Notification Preferences tiles are grayed-out, this indicates you do not have permissions to receive those notifications. Contact your company's Customer Portal administrator to request permissions, or refer to the Permissions page.

To change your notification preferences in the Customer Portal:

  1. Click your user name (at the upper-right corner of the portal screen) and select User Settings:

  2. Click the Notification Preferences tab and select a category:

  3. Choose the type(s) of notifications you want.

    For some categories, you can only receive email notifications. For others, you can choose to receive email, SMS (text messaging), and/or voice notifications. For example:


    Note: Voice notifications are not supported for phones in China.

  4. Click Submit to save your changes.

  5. Repeat these steps to set your preferences for other notification categories.
