Cisco Catalyst 8000V (Autonomous Mode) Subscription Licensing Video
For Catalyst 8000V Autonomous mode, both Bring Your Own License (BYOL) and Subscription options are supported. The BYOL option requires a valid license. You are responsible for purchasing and managing your own licenses from Cisco or their partners or resellers.

For the BYOL option, you are responsible for obtaining Cisco support from Cisco or their partners. Contact a Cisco sales representative or partner to purchase a license and support contract. The subscription option for Catalyst 8000V autonomous mode allows you to open a Cisco TAC case through the Network Edge portal.
Important: The Catalyst 8000V Autonomous mode subscription option allows you to troubleshoot Cisco 8000V software or configuration issues with Cisco Technical Assistant Center (TAC). In order to do so, Equinix opens a TAC case for you, then you engage with Cisco TAC directly. If this is an Equinix Network Edge infrastructure-related issues, then Equinix will engage in the troubleshooting. Equinix will not engage in Cisco 8000V software or configuration issues and troubleshooting.

Equinix ended its sale of Cisco Cloud Services Router (CSR) 1000V (both Equinix-Configured and Self-Configured options) in December 2022. This is aligned with Cisco’s End-of-Sales of CSR1000V on December 16, 2022.
We have ended sale of all Equinix-Configured options on Network Edge, which includes CSR1000V Equinix-Configured device. We also announced end of support of the Equinix-configured option on Network Edge. (Month-to-Month term support ends on June 30, 2024. For term-based orders, support ends on Order expiration after June 30, 2024).
With the End of Sale of the CSR1000V offering, Equinix will not auto-renew the term-based Order for Equinix-Configured devices.
For the Cisco CSR1000V Self-configured option, no new CSR1000V virtual devices are available for provisioning after February 28, 2023. Equinix continues to support Self-configured virtual devices running on Network Edge. Equinix will also auto-renew the term-based Order for Self-configured devices. You are responsible for obtaining a proper support contract from Cisco on the existing CSR1000V IOS-XE image. Equinix is not responsible for any issues or defect associated with Cisco CSR1000V IOS-XE image, and Cisco CSR1000V IOS-XE image End-of-Life and End-of-Sale Notices are available here.
