Perform a Failover
When the source site is unavailable, you can start the protected virtual machines in the destination site and continue operation.
Prerequisites

Organization Administrator credentials for the destination Cloud site.

A configured protection. For instructions, see Create a Protection.

At least double the allocated storage of the virtual machine, including RAM size is available in the destination storage policy.

Appropriate network connection available in the destination site.

(Optional) A predefined failover network. See Predefine Network Settings for instructions.

Open the CDA plugin in the EBC Tenant Portal on the destination Cloud site. See Access EBC Availability for instructions.

Choose replication direction, select your VM/vApp and verify replication's Overall Health.

Click ALL ACTIONS and select Failover.

Adjust recovery settings and click NEXT.

Select recovery point and click NEXT.

Review your settings and click FINISH.

Once the recovery state changes to Failed-Over, you can perform reverse procedure to reverse and reprotect the virtual machine(s) back to the source site or stop the replication traffic, remove the replication from the vApp and virtual machine list, and click Delete to remove all retained replication instances.
