Video – Smart View Maintenance Scripts
A maintenance script is a list of steps for performing maintenance on an asset to ensure that the data center runs smoothly, with no disruption in service. IBX personnel use these scripts when performing maintenance on an asset to ensure that all steps are followed and completed according to equipment manufacturer recommendations.
This page provides a list of documents that outline the procedures for upcoming scheduled maintenance on assets in Equinix Smart View. You can preview and download scripts to understand the maintenance events better.
Tip: The smart data grid allows you to search, sort, and filter the columns. You can also click 
to select columns to hide/show, or to rearrange the columns. For details, see Smart Data Grids.
Note: Maintenance scripts are only available for scheduled maintenance activities, and might not be available in the event of emergency maintenance.
Data Columns
By default, these columns are displayed in the grid:
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Maintenance Script | Name of the script for the scheduled maintenance event. This includes the name and type of the asset(s), and the type of maintenance to which the script is applicable. |
| IBX | All IBX data centers for which you have a subscription to Smart View. |
| Metro | Metropolitan area where the asset resides. |
| Country | Country where the asset resides. |
| Region | Region where the asset resides. |
- IBX and Maintenance Script columns cannot be hidden.
- All columns can be sorted.
- All columns except Maintenance Script can be filtered.
- Row actions to download individual scripts are available.
- Bulk action to download multiple scripts are available.
View Details for a Row
For specific maintenance events, unique script names are provided along with the maintenance activities' email notifications.
Click a row in the data grid to see details of the specific maintenance script:
The top part of the detail window displays:
- Script Name
- Region
- Country
- Metro
- IBX
The bottom part shows the script file, and includes options to save or print the script.
A row action to Download 
individual scripts is available in the far right column of the grid. You can also download a maximum of 15 maintenance scripts at a time using the Download Bulk Action at the top left above the data grid. To do this, select the box to the left of each row for the scripts you want to download and click Download Bulk Action.
Create a Trouble Ticket
To submit a trouble ticket to Equinix, click Trouble Ticket
