Colocation 2024.1 is available in February 2024.

Private Cage Orders Now In Activity Timeline

All cabinet and cage orders are now visible in the Activity Timeline feature on the Orders and Tickets History screen in the Equinix Customer Portal.

Colocation 2023.6 is available in December 2023.

Secure Cabinet Express Enhancements

For Secure Cabinet Express, power is pre-approved for up to 5-7 kVA depending on the IBX. You can request power above the pre-approved limit, subject to Capacity Feasibility Review (CFR).

In addition, added ability to request two single phase circuit pairings per cabinet, as well as one or two three phase circuit pairings per cabinet (cabinets with these requested circuit configurations will be subject to capability review).

Colocation 2023.5 is available in October 2023.

Modify Your Colocation Deployment Online

Using the Customer Portal, you can change your colocation deployments online:

• For an existing Private Cage or Secure Cabinet deployment, you can add circuits or increase your draw cap.

• For an existing Secure Cabinet Express deployment, you can increase your draw cap or add another cabinet.

Colocation 2023.3 is available in June 2023.

Draw Cap Increments for Secure Cabinet Express (SCE)

The draw cap for SCE orders can now be specified in 0.5 kVA increments (instead of only whole numbers).

Technical Contacts for Online SCE Orders

When you place an online order for SCE (via the Customer Portal), you can now add an unlisted contact as the Technical Contact. An unlisted contact is someone who does not have a Customer Portal account.

New 'Pending Signature' Order Status

In the Customer Portal, a new 'Pending Signature' status indicates that your order is on hold, awaiting customer signature. Go to the order's Activity Timeline to see the name of the signee and the expiration date for the order. If the order is not signed by this date, the order will be cancelled.

View Assets Online

You can now view your Secure Cabinet, Secure Cabinet Express, and Private Cage installations in the Equinix Customer Portal. For each of your deployments, you can view the billing agreement, IBX location, billing account, product type, initial contract start date, and renewal/end date. You can also click on a deployment to see more details about the billing agreement.

Note: This feature is available if you have the Install Base permission or administrative permissions (Master administrator or IBX administrator role) in the portal.

Order SCE Online

If you have the Secure Cabinet Express Ordering permission in the Customer Portal, you can now order Secure Cabinet Express online, at your convenience.

Modify Your SCE Deployment Online

You can now increase the draw cap or add another cabinet to your Secure Cabinet installation using the Customer Portal.
