Report Center
The Report Center in the Customer Portal offers operational insights into your IBX data center deployments. The reports can assist you with compliance requirements, internal process reviews, and uptime optimization of your deployments.

Reports are generated in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format or comma-separated values (.csv) format.
Note: Your permissions determine which reports are available to you.
Most reports can be generated as needed, or scheduled at regular intervals:

These reports can also be ordered in the Customer Portal; but because they require a Smart Hands technician to collect data at the IBX, they are associated with a fee:

To order reports in the Customer Portal:

From the Reports menu, select Report Center.
The available reports are shown:
Note: The report highlighted in yellow is a chargeable report (because it requires a Smart Hands technician at the IBX to collect data). For information about Smart Hands, see the Smart Hands documentation.

To refine the list of reports, you can use the Filter By Category options.

Select a report, complete the required fields, and click Generate Report.
When the report is ready, an email notification is sent. For example:
When your report is ready, you receive an email notification. If the report is small, the report file may be attached to the notification email, and you can view or download it directly from the email.
If the report is not attached to the email:

Sign into the Customer Portal.
You can see your reports in the Message Center on your dashboard:
Or, from the Reports menu, select My Reports:
Note:Indicates a newly generated report.
Indicates a report that did not run successfully. Try requesting the report again.

For each report listed, you can download it to your device, or you can delete it. You can use the checkboxes in the first column to download or delete multiple reports at once.
Important: All self-service reports are automatically deleted from the portal after 7 days.
To download a Smart Hands report:

Sign into the Customer Portal.

From the Orders and Tickets menu, select Orders and Tickets History.

Locate the Smart Hands order for the report, then select it.

The generated report is shown in the Activity Timeline as a file attachment:

Click the file to download it.
If you configured a report to run automatically on a schedule, you can change the settings at any time.

From the Reports menu, select Manage Reports:

For each report, you have options to:
-
Generate the report now.
-
Edit the report settings.
-
Delete the report (this cancels all future runs).
Important: For reports that are sent to multiple recipients, changing or deleting the report recurrence affects all recipients.

After you submit an order for a recurring report (such as a Power Consumption report that runs every month), a new Smart Hands order is automatically placed every month for the report. If you need to change or cancel the recurrence settings, contact the Global Service Desk (GSD).
Important: Recurring chargeable reports are billed per each instance of report delivery. For example, if the report is set to run weekly, you are charged for the report every week.
Important: You should regularly run the User Details report to review the user accounts in your organization. This helps you maintain current, accurate lists of account names, access settings, and permissions. You can determine if user access should be removed for users who have not signed into the Customer Portal or other Equinix portals recently.
Tip: This report can be run from the Report Center or from the User Management screen.

From the Administration menu in the Customer Portal, choose User Management.

From the User Management screen, click Generate Report.

On the User Details screen, select Reseller User Details or Customer User Details.

If you selected Customer User Details, select one or more accounts.
-
For User Status, select the user status to include in the report:

Active
-
Deactivated
-
Not Activated
-
Terminated
Note: Terminated user accounts are permanently deactivated, whereas Deactivated user accounts can later be reactivated (if needed).

Select one or more User Permissions to include in the report.
Note: The permission options vary depending on whether you selected Reseller User Details or Customer User Details.

To automatically generate this report daily, weekly, monthly, or on another schedule, select a recurrence interval under Date Range & Delivery.

By default, the report is sent only to you. To enter additional email addresses, click Add Another Recipient.

Click Generate Report.
The report provides extensive details about portal usage. To review specific user information, click the Contact Information tab at the bottom of the report. User names, email addresses, phone numbers, status, and other data are provided. In the far right columns, you can review the last sign in dates for each user.
Important: Equinix recommends that you remove user accounts that are no longer used. For details, see Terminate or Deactivate User Accounts.
Important: To verify that contacts are assigned for crisis management, physical security, and information security roles, you can generate a Crisis Contact Report. This report shows whether contact information is available in case of emergencies or threats to IBX data centers.
To run a Crisis Contact report, follow the same steps for the User Details report (above), except in the User Permissions section, select Crisis Contact Management:
The generated report provides detailed contact information for all three crisis contact roles. You can sort the report by regions, IBX locations, accounts, and other profile details.

Note: This report is only available at IBXs that support Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM).

On the Customer Portal, go to Reports > Report Center and click Power Consumption Report.

Select locations (IBXs), Hierarchy level (Cage, Cabinet, or Circuit and Meter).
Note:
The data shown in the Power Consumption Report is aggregated to the selected Hierarchy level. For example, if you select Cage as the Hierarchy level, each row in the output report represents one day's data aggregated to the cage level. To see more granular data for each individual cabinet, circuit and meter, you must select those as the Hierarchy level for the report.

Select assets based on the Hierarchy level selected.

Select the time span for the report (yesterday, past 30 days, last month, last quarter, last year, or a custom date range). You can specify up to three years prior, but only up to one year at a time.

If desired, select Make this report recurring. Only available for yesterday, last month, last quarter, or last year.

Enter a name for the report, or leave the default name.

Select the report format (Excel or Comma Separated Values-CSV).

If desired, specify additional recipients for the report by entering their email addresses.

Click Submit. To download and view the report, click Track in My Reports Tab. The new report is shown at the top of the reports list.

On the My Reports tab, for the table row of the newly generated report, click Download at right, under Actions. If you've scheduled a recurring report, you can change its settings by selecting the Manage Reports tab.

Once the download completes, open the report file in Excel or desired application.
