Troubleshooting VNF Failure

We expect all VNFs to be operational upon the completion of the upgrade. However, we want you to be prepared to take action in the unforeseen event that your VNFs are not operational. Refer to the table below to identify your device type and follow instructions to recover your VNFs if required.

Important: We are experiencing licensing issues with some Cisco CSR 1000v VNFs. See the Cisco CSR1000v Licensing Issue section to troubleshoot the issue.

Cisco CSR1000v Licensing Issue

We are observing an issue causing Cisco CSR1000v licenses to de-registered because of a couple of known Cisco defects, resulting in the traffic bandwidth being throttled dramatically. The following two defects were identified as a possible cause:

A workaround is provided to re-register the license and fix the issue. Use the maintenance status page to understand the status of the upgrade. If you believe that virtual device traffic bandwidth is being throttled dramatically after following each phase of the upgrade, please access to the virtual device using SSH and re-register the license. The maintenance specific status page is available from the upgrade maintenance schedule page. The following table summarizes the stages and phases of the upgrade.
