Notifications

During its lifecycle, each Digital LOA (DiLOA) sends notifications to users:

1. During DiLOA creation, when the status is set as Ready for use

   1. For A-side – Confirmation that the DiLOA was created, and description of how to use the DiLOA in Cross Connects ordering

   2. For Z-side – Confirmation that the DiLOA was sent to the A-side user, and for archive purposes

2. During Digital LOA creation, when the status is set as Pending Requestor Acceptance

   1. For A-side – To start the authentication process

   2. For Z-side – To approve the A-side authentication

   3. For A-side and Z-side – When the Digital LOA is set to Ready for use after a successful authentication process

Notifications for Z-side Users

Z-side users receive these types of notifications.

• LOA is now Ready for Use – Confirmation email that includes an attached PDF of the Digital LOA. This email can be saved for archiving purposes.

• LOA Awaiting for Authorization – Email that contains information that was gathered from the A-side customer (which was entered into the form during Digital LOA creation and verified from ECP):

  • A-side partner name provided by Z-side (you): Company name

  • A-side partner email provided by Z-side (you): email@address.com

  • Verified A-side partner name: Company name

  • Verified A-side partner email: email@address.com

  This email includes the link to ECP that sets the Digital LOA to Ready for use status.

Notifications for A-side

A-side users receive these types of notifications.

• LOA is now Ready for Use – Confirmation email that the DiLOA was prepared and is ready to use for creating an order. A description about how to use the LOA is included:

  1. Click the link to Create Cross Connect in ECP.

  2. Upload the LOA in the Z-side Details section in the Cross Connect order.

  3. The provider and IBX location information will be automatically populated.

  4. Continue with your order. Read more about how to order Cross Connect online.

     Note: Patch panel ports selected in this document have been reserved. If you don't upload the LOA, the ports provided in the letter won't be visible when you order the Cross Connect.

• LOA Awaiting for Authorization – Confirmation email that the Digital LOA was prepared. However, before being used, the Digital LOA must be authenticated by Equinix Customer Portal (ECP) login.

  This email includes a link to the ECP that is used to gather data about a user. This data can be applied during the Cross Connects ordering process.
