Visibility of End Customer Information for Cabinets

As resellers of Fabric, you now have the visibility of End Customer information from your cabinets during port ordering/connection creation. This information is displayed as a reference and any updates must be made in the cabinet's inventory view.

Observability - Alert Events for Threshold Crossing

The Stream Alert Rule Management APIs offer a method to send an alert event to a Sink Type when a metric crosses a defined threshold value. The alert rule can define both a warningThreshold and a criticalThreshold, which will trigger a metric alert event if the metric value falls below or exceeds the expected threshold.

Observability - Stream Events to ServiceNow

Users can now stream their Observability events to Service Now, which is now the sixth supported Sink Type for the Fabric Observability Platform.

Observability - Stream Events to Datadog

Users can now stream their Observability events to Datadog. We previously supported streaming just metrics to Datadog, and now we have full integration with the Fabric Observability Platform.

EVP-LAN for L2 Multipoint-to-Multipoint Service

The October release of Equinix Fabric provided the ability to create EVP-LAN multipoint L2 networks with support for any-to-any, full mesh connectivity between multiple Equinix metros or locations. Now you can create a multipoint EVP-LAN network and connect to that network from Fabric ports and Network Edge virtual devices. This new capability eliminates the need to create direct connections between individual locations, and is limited to a single virtual device per metro.

Service Token Enhancements

You can create a pair of connections from your redundant virtual devices with two separate Z-side service tokens and then view, edit, and delete them from your Connections Inventory.

With this release you can also use an A-side service token to grant access to Z-side service token connections. The A-side token provider will be billed for the connection.

Display VLANs for Ports API

Equinix Fabric now provides an API that returns all the VLANs that are being used on a specific Fabric port. This allows users to provide better VLAN assignment for new Fabric connections on existing ports.
