Creating a BlueCat Integrity DNS and DHCP Server
When creating a BlueCat Integrity DNS and DHCP Server you need a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) file from BlueCat. You upload this file as part of configuring your Device Details.
Connectivity Options
The default connectivity option for the device is Without Equinix Public IP Address. The option to have a VNF come up without a public IP address addresses the use case where the virtual device may need to be isolated from the Internet. You can then manage the devices from their private network or virtual connection.
While configuring your Device Details, you can optionally specify:
- a Private Address – The private IP address.
- a Private CIDR Mask – The subnet mask.
- a Private Gateway – The private gateway IP.

file in the BlueCat Edge portal. The generated file must be a.txt
file. See Provision Service Point v4 on cloud environments for more information. This file includes the license, boot up configuration, BlueCat Edge Portal IP Address, and encryption key. You will upload this file in the Device Configuration File section when you are configuring your Device Details.
-
When configuring your Additional Services, you have the option to create it as Diverse Compute from an Existing Single Device. If you already have another single device and you want this new device to exist in a different plane, click Select Diverse From and then select the existing device.
