# Portal - Connect to Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute

Create new ExpressRoute connections from your Equinix Fabric assets. Use Quick Connect to establish connections from Fabric ports, Fabric Cloud Routers, or using an a-side service token.

注

For instructions on connecting from a Network Edge virtual device, see [Network Edge to Azure ExpressRoute](/ja/fabric-marketplace/connecting-to-service-provider/microsoft/ne-azure-expressroute.md).

## Prerequisites[](#prerequisites "への直接リンクPrerequisites")

Before creating a connection to Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, you must have:

* An Azure account with Microsoft.
* An ExpressRoute Service Key which is configured in the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) portal. For more information on how to create an ExpressRoute Service Key, see [Quickstart: Create and modify an ExpressRoute circuit](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/expressroute/expressroute-howto-circuit-portal-resource-manager).
* An Equinix Fabric account, with the following IAM roles assigned: `Fabric Connections Manager`.
* A [Fabric port](/ja/fabric/ports/fabric-order-port-new.md), an [A-side service token](/ja/fabric/service-tokens/redeem-a-side-service-token.md) or a [Fabric Cloud Router](/ja/fabric-cloud-router/index.md).

## Creating a Connection[](#creating-a-connection "への直接リンクCreating a Connection")

To create a connection to Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute:

1. Log in to the [Customer Portal](https://portal.equinix.com/fabric) > *Fabric Dashboard*.

2. Use the Context Switcher and select the project under which you want to create the connection. For more information on projects, see [Managing Projects](/ja/iam/resources/projects-manage.md).

3. From the *Connections* menu, select **Create Connection**.

4. In the *A Service Provider* card, click **Connect to a Service Provider**.

   ![](/ja/assets/images/service-provider-card-51d938de0bcc1df9912ba766114cb979.png)

5. Locate the *Microsoft Azure* card and click **Select Service**.

6. On the *Azure ExpressRoute* card, click **Quick Connect**.

   ![](/ja/assets/images/fabricConnectAzureQuickConnect-2dd8714a04d6f8acd16e102753d018ff.png)

7. In the *Enter Your Azure Information* section, enter your Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute Service Key.

   ![](/ja/assets/images/fabricConnectAzureServiceKey-e9f59e17a2493c5cbd87d24b74a14da5.png)

   注

If the service key is already in use for a primary or secondary connection you may be able to add additional connections using the same key. A banner will display indicating which connection and peering types are still available for a key already in use.

8. Select connection type:

   * Redundant – Create a redundant pair of connections.
   * Primary – Create a single, primary connection.
   * Secondary – Create a single, secondary connection.

   情報

Redundant configuration is recommended. If you select a single connection option, no Service Level Agreement (SLA) is provided by Azure.

A single service key will support four virtual connections on DOT1Q ports (a primary and secondary connection for each peering type). However each of the four connections must have unique ExpressRoute peering VLAN IDs. Two virtual connections can be created with a service key on QINQ ports.

9. Select peering type:

   * Azure Private – Applicable to private virtual networks.
   * Microsoft – Applicable to Office 365, Dynamics 365 and public services.

   注

You are not required to use both services (Private and Microsoft).

10. Click **Next**.

If you are connecting to Azure ExpressRoute from a Port, the status remains `PENDING_BGP_PEERING` until peering is completed in the Microsoft Azure portal and the status only changes to `PROVISIONED` once Equinix Fabric syncs with Microsoft. If you want to synchronize the BGP peering instantly, you may use the Equinix Customer Portal. If you are connecting to Azure ExpressRoute from a Fabric Cloud Router, you also need to [configure your routing details](/ja/fabric-cloud-router/bgp/fcr-bgp.md) for the connection in the Equinix Customer Portal. If you are connecting to Azure ExpressRoute from a Network Edge device, you also need to configure the routing details on the device, which vary by vendor (such as Cisco or Juniper). |
