Service Insight
Service Insight provides operational and outage-related status of Equinix network products and services.
The Service Insight Dashboard provides an overview all incidents across our platform including:

IBX - IBX incidents refer to unexpected events or disruptions that occur within Equinix's IBX data centers. Equinix takes a proactive approach to minimize the impact of IBX incidents and ensure the safety and continuity of its customers' operations.

Network - Network incidents refer to unexpected events or disruptions that occur within a computer network, resulting in a loss of connectivity, degraded performance, or other issues affecting network operations.

IBX Security - IBX security incidents refer to any unexpected events or breaches that compromise the security of Equinix's IBX data centers. These incidents can include unauthorized access, physical breaches, cybersecurity attacks, or any other activities that pose a threat to the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of customer data and infrastructure.

Environmental, Health and Safety - Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) incidents refer to unexpected events or incidents that impact the environmental, health, or safety aspects of a workplace or facility. These incidents can include accidents, spills, equipment failures, or any other events that pose a risk to the environment, employee health, or overall safety.
Incidents can be further filtered to those that are service-impacting, non-service impacting, or under investigation. As well as indicate how the incident affects our colocation and digital services products.
Notifications
The Customer Portal's Notification Center provides a centralized location to track and view the notifications sent by Equinix.
There are several categories of notifications issued by Equinix:
- General – Notifications about orders, support plan usage, and network provisioning specifications.
- Incidents – Notifications about IBX incidents, network incidents, security incidents, and managed services incidents.
- Maintenance – Notifications about maintenance activities at the data centers.
- Advisories – Notifications about weather advisories, maintenance moratoriums, policy changes at the data centers, closures, and more.

Messaging Gateway
The Messaging Gateway is an event-driven notification system that provides near real-time notifications for:
- Any planned and unplanned for Equinix Product or Service Network maintenance.
- Any planned and unplanned Equinix IBX data center maintenance.
- Any Equinix IBX data center incidents and advisory.
- Any Equinix Product or Service Network incidents.
