Comunidades globales BGP

Comportamiento por defecto​

El comportamiento por defecto (sin comunidad) para los prefijos de cliente es que se anuncian a todos los proveedores y pares dentro de la instalación en la que se recibe el prefijo.

BGP Anycast global​

Si utiliza un rango de IP en varias regiones, puede utilizar la comunidad Anycast de Equinix Metal™:

  • Función: Enrutamiento Anycast

Al etiquetar sus rutas con esta comunidad, Equinix Metal anunciará sus rutas sólo al tránsito y peering que mantenemos de forma consistente a nivel global. Los ISP regionales con los que nos conectamos no aprenderán sus rutas directamente de nosotros, ya que la publicidad a ellos puede resultar en enrutamiento "escénico" para usted con configuraciones Anycast globales.

Tenga en cuenta que esta comunidad sólo debe utilizarse para despliegues Anycast globales y no se aconseja su uso en un único centro de datos, ya que limitará el número de rutas/proveedores disponibles a los que tendrá acceso. Sólo debe ser desplegada por usted buscando topología BGP Anycast, con múltiples instancias de servidor desplegadas en cada centro de datos Equinix Metal.

BGP avanzado​

Puede ajustar la accesibilidad a las IPs que anuncia adjuntando Comunidades de Ingeniería de Tráfico (TE).

El propósito de las comunidades TE es indicar a la red Equinix Metal a qué proveedores y pares anunciar sus prefijos, permitiendo un control más granular que el BGP por defecto (sin comunidad) o la comunidad Global Anycast BGP mencionada anteriormente (54825:222).

El uso de cualquiera de las comunidades enumeradas a continuación le proporciona un control total sobre la publicidad saliente de sus prefijos. Puedes anunciar a cualquier combinación de proveedores y pares que existan dentro de una ubicación. Cada proveedor tiene su propio conjunto de comunidades. Si la comunidad de un proveedor no está incluida en un prefijo, no lo anunciaremos a ese proveedor.

Combinar Comunidades​

Puedes combinar comunidades para tener un control granular de tus anuncios. Por ejemplo, puede utilizar una combinación de comunidades para anunciarse a Telia y TATA, pero no a GTT (para cualquiera de los proveedores de tránsito). O puedes anunciar a Telia, anteponer tres veces a TATA y anunciar a un Internet Exchange (IX).

Normas de uso​

  • Otras comunidades como 54825:222 y 54825:223 deben eliminarse.

  • Para anunciar un prefijo a cualquier proveedor, debe utilizarse "Anunciar a XXX". Para anunciarlo a Telia, debe utilizarse 54825:500. Si sólo se utiliza una comunidad de proveedores, el prefijo sólo se anunciará a ese proveedor.

  • Combina comunidades para anunciarte a varios proveedores. Utilice 54825:500 y 54825:530 para anunciarse tanto a Telia como a TATA.

  • Para anteponer debe incluir la comunidad "Advertise to XXX" así como la comunidad de anteponer. Para anunciar dos veces a Telia, debes usar 54825:500 y 54825:502. Esto le dice a nuestros routers que anuncien a Telia y prependan dos veces.

Comunidades adicionales sólo para Internet Exchange​

Estas comunidades pueden adjuntarse a prefijos anunciados a cualquier Internet Exchange (IX). Esto permite anunciarse a todo el IX, excepto a algunos pares específicos. Para cualquier peer en el que mantengamos un acuerdo de peering bilateral a través de un IX los clientes pueden añadir una comunidad de 0:ASN (donde ASN es el ASN del peer al que no desea anunciarse.) Esto impedirá que su prefijo se anuncie al ASN definido.

Si no tenemos una sesión bilateral con el ASN definido en la comunidad, pasaremos esta comunidad a los servidores de rutas IX, lo que impedirá que los servidores de rutas IX anuncien el prefijo al par.

Si el peer tiene un ASN de 4 bytes, utilice una comunidad BGP grande con el formato large:54825:0:ASN.

Tenga en cuenta que las comunidades prepend y do not advertise para IXs se aplicarán a todos los peers y servidores de rutas. No permitimos prepend por peer, sin embargo puede añadir la comunidad de 0:ASN para dejar de anunciar su prefijo a un ASN específico.

  • Función: Agujero negro BGP.

Equinix Metal hará blackhole del tráfico hacia su prefijo, así como señalará a los proveedores de tránsito de apoyo y a los socios de peering para que hagan lo mismo. Sólo admitimos la desagregación hasta el nivel /32 (IPv4) y /128 (IPv6) con esta comunidad.

  • Función: No Exportar

Equinix Metal aceptará el prefijo de sus servidores, pero no lo anunciará a ningún proveedor de tránsito. El prefijo solo se podrá enrutar dentro de la red Equinix Metal.

Comunidades locales preferentes​

Los clientes pueden utilizar las siguientes comunidades para ajustar la preferencia local en los prefijos anunciados a Equinix Metal. Por defecto, todos los prefijos que recibamos tendrán una preferencia local de 300 en el sitio en el que se reciban. Anunciaremos esos prefijos a todos los sitios, donde se les establecerá una preferencia local de 250

Si desea ajustar estos valores por defecto, puede utilizar las siguientes comunidades.

El uso de estas comunidades anulará las preferencias locales por defecto mencionadas anteriormente, y los valores no cambiarán a medida que los prefijos se anuncien a otros sitios. Esto significa que si fija un prefijo en 270 en un sitio, todos los demás sitios recibirán ese prefijo con la misma preferencia local.

Tenga en cuenta que los prefijos sólo se anuncian externamente en el sitio local en el que se reciben.
