Equinix Internet Access API Release Notes

2026 JULY Release Notes

Release Overview

Release date: July 2026

With this release, customers can now benefit from a more consistent API experience, and gain greater control over IP address management.

Unified EIA API — Public Documentation

EIA API paths are now aligned with the Equinix Fabric API, creating a more consistent developer experience across Equinix products. Updated public API documentation is available as part of this release. Customers and partners using APIs, automation tools, Terraform, SDKs, or custom integrations can benefit from a more predictable and consistent API structure when managing EIA services.

IP Blocks Management

IP Blocks Management is now generally available. Customers can purchase Internet IP addresses from /30 to /24, register their own Provider Independent (PI) IP addresses, and configure virtual EIA services using those IPs through the Equinix Portal and API. This capability provides self-service control over the IP address lifecycle, from purchase and registration to assignment and service configuration, without needing to contact support for standard IP management tasks.

For more information or to take advantage of these new capabilities, visit the Equinix Portal or contact your Equinix representative.
