Peering Insights MCP Server

The Peering Insights MCP server is hosted at https://mcp.equinix.com/peeringInsights and can be used with MCP-compatible AI agents.

Private Beta

The Peering Insights MCP Server is currently in Private Beta. If you are interested in joining the Beta program, please email fabric-intelligence-support@equinix.com or reach out to your Equinix account representative.

The Peering Insights MCP server exposes the following MCP tools that allow AI assistants to interact with your Equinix Internet Exchange and peering resources.

Example Commands

Once you have configured the Peering Insights MCP server in your AI agent, you can use natural language to interact with your Internet Exchange resources and peering resources. The following are examples of common queries:

• "Show me all active ix ports in the SV metro." – Searches for and displays all active internet exchange ports in the Silicon Valley metro.
• "Equinix IX Locations in APAC." – Searches for Equinix Internet Exchanges in Asia Pacific Region.
• "List top 10 participants who I am peering with, sorted by the max inbound traffic" – Shares your top 10 peering participants.
• "Show me the top peering opportunities." – Find your potential peering opportunities.
• "I want to peer with a META, what is their ASN and Peering Policy?" – Know potential peer’s ASN and peering policy.
