Equinix Marketplace Release Notes

Marketplace 2023.2 is available Feb 2023.

Two videos have been updated: Equinix Explorer and Edit Company Profile.

Marketplace 2022.5 is available Nov, 2022.

This release adds enhancement that simplify the Marketplace portal and make it easy for customers to use our services and data.

Marketplace Homepage Redesign

The homepages has been redesigned to focus on the main tools of Marketplace. A lightweight approach has been implemented, as well as provider search being integrated into the homepage. Additionally, cross-functional promotion is added to promote cross-platform functionality and dynamic messaging to the dashboard.

Provider Search

Provider search has been improved to bring consistency to user experience across Marketplace and other Equinix portals.

Ecosystem and Interconnection Visualizer

A new Overview tab has been added to provide a general overview chart of Ecosystem data. Ecosystem and Interconnection Visualizer has also been improved to bring consistency to user experience across Marketplace and other Equinix portals.

Marketplace 2022.4.1 is available Sep, 2022.

This release introduces enhancement that raises the visibility of non-standard product availability in Marketplace.

New “Limited Availability” Indicator in Product Availability Chart and IBX Connections

A new indicator “Limited availability. Contact your Account Manager for more information.” is now added to the Product Availability Chart. This indicator will only display when all available speeds in a specific IBX have limited availability.

With this release, the status of the Product Availability Chart now include:

• Available to order online

• Unavailable

• Limited availability. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

Additionally, on IBX level, in the ‘Connections’ area, it will indicate that certain speeds cannot be ordered online for selected products. For example: “100 Gbps limited availability, contact your Account Manager to order.”

This new indicator lets you know that while a product is available, there are qualifications and can only be ordered via special request from Equinix Account Managers.

Updated Display of Port Speeds for Fabric, Internet Exchange, Metro Connect and Equinix Internet Access

Port speeds for Fabric, Internet Exchange (IX), Metro Connect and Equinix Internet Access (EIA) are displayed. The format of the speed has been updated: from 10G to 10Gbps. For Fabric, IX and EIA, the display of port speeds is new.

Virtual Connect Bandwidth for Fabric

In the ‘IBX connection check’ area, we show available virtual connection bandwidth for Fabric under Virtual Connections. For example: “Equinix Fabric (EVPL, EPL) (50 Mbps - 10 Gbps)”

Marketplace 2022.4 is available Aug 4, 2022.

Equinix Marketplace 2022.4 adds new enhancements to Company Profile.

Removal of "Legal Entity Name" from Company Profile

You will no longer see your "Legal Entity Name" in your Company Profile when viewing your own or other company's Company Profile.

Update to Locked Sections when Editing Company Profile

For the locked section of a Company Profile, when it is being edited, the module will now differentiate whether the section is locked by you or locked by another user from the same company.

Marketplace 2022.1 is available March, 2022.

Equinix Marketplace 2022.1 adds various quality-of-life enhancements.

Equinix Precision Time and Equinix Metal available as products in Equinix Explorer

In the product availability chart, Equinix Precision Time and Equinix Metal are now displayed as possible products.

• Equinix Precision Time is available on the IBX level

• Equinix Metal is available on the Metro level

Company Profile Improvements

Search Icon and help text has been added to let users know that email address field is searchable. In Team Members, only users with editor rights will be able to see the different types of users (Active, Approved, Suspended, Terminated).

Improvements to Ecosystem and Interconnection Visualizer

Service categories with zero counts will not be displayed in UI and downloaded reports. By default, a Global View will be displayed to show all Ecosystem and Interconnection data based on all Equinix’s locations. Select Services dropdown menu allows you to select the sub-categories within each service.

Fabric's Create Connection CTAs has been added to Provider Search.

After doing a search within Provider Search application, you (with the right permissions) will be able to get into Fabric's create connection flow by using the CTAs found in the Searched list of Provider Search.
