Reload a Device
In the event of a communications failure, the Reboot Device feature allows you to reload your device on your own, without submitting a support ticket. There is no restriction on the number of times a device can be reloaded.
To reload a device:
- Sign in to the Equinix Customer Portal and navigate to Network Edge.
- On the Network Edge menu, select Virtual Device Inventory. You devices will display
- Click the device you want to reload. The Virtual Device Details page will display.
- Click the Tools tab.
- In the Reboot Device section, click Reboot Device. A warning will display indicating that device is limited during reboot.
- Click Continue with Reboot. The Reboot Device status will display Device Reboot Requested.
- Click Refresh Status. Once the reboot is completed, the status will display Reboot Complete.
