Reload a Device

In the event of a communications failure, the Reboot Device feature allows you to reload your device on your own, without submitting a support ticket. There is no restriction on the number of times a device can be reloaded.

To reload a device:

  1. Sign in to the Equinix Customer Portal and navigate to Network Edge.
  2. On the Network Edge menu, select Virtual Device Inventory. You devices will display
  3. Click the device you want to reload. The Virtual Device Details page will display.
  4. Click the Tools tab.
  5. In the Reboot Device section, click Reboot Device. A warning will display indicating that device is limited during reboot.
  6. Click Continue with Reboot. The Reboot Device status will display Device Reboot Requested.
  7. Click Refresh Status. Once the reboot is completed, the status will display Reboot Complete.
