IP Blocks

Customers who are directly billable by Equinix can request an IP block.

You are permitted one /29 block per location, regardless of the number of virtual devices or ports you have in that metro. You must have at least one virtual device or one port in the metro for which you are requesting an IP block. The IP addresses within your block can be spread out across multiple devices and ports.

Request an IP Block

  1. Sign in to the Equinix Fabric portal.

  2. From the Inventory menu, select IP Blocks.

  3. Click Request Block of IP Addresses.

  4. Select a location. Only locations where you have a virtual device or port are available.

  5. Click Request IP Block.

Release an IP Block

  1. Sign in to the Equinix Fabric portal.

  2. From the Inventory menu, select IP Blocks. All of the locations with assigned IP blocks will display.

  3. On the location assigned an IP block, click Release Block.

  4. Click Yes, Release this Block.
