Getting Started

Get started by ordering ports and developing your peering strategy.

You can access the Equinix Internet Exchange portal through:

  • Equinix Internet Exchange (IX)
  • Equinix Customer Portal (ECP)

Existing Users

To log in through Equinix Internet Exchange:

  1. Go to the IX portal, and click Login in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Enter your Username and Password.

  3. Click Sign In.

To log in through the Equinix Customer Portal (ECP):

  1. Go to ECP.
  2. Enter your Username and Password, and click Sign In.
  3. Select Network Management on the dashboard, and click Equinix Internet Exchange.

New Users

New users must create an account to access the IX portal. After creating an account, they can log in and order ports.

New User Creation Video

  1. Go to the IX portal, and click Create your account.

  2. Enter your basic profile information. The unique user name must contain eight characters. The unique password must also contain a minimum of eight characters, including one special character ( -!@#$^&*()?/\:;.=+| ), one alphabetical character, and a number.

  3. Check Terms of Use at the bottom of the page, and click Next.
  4. Set up your security questions and a four-digit PIN number. Your PIN number is required to recover or validate your account if you forget your username or password. Click Register.

    A confirmation message is displayed. Check your email, and click the verification link to verify your email address. A verification success message is displayed.

    Note: If you do not receive the verification email within 24 hours, go back to Create an account here, and click Support.

  5. You can now order a port. Sign into the IX portal with your credentials, and click Order a Port.
