Bilateral Peering
Bilateral Peering is a negotiation between two peering internet exchange members in an Equinix Internet Exchange (IX).
Working of Bilateral Peering
- You can establish eBGP sessions directly with remote peers.
- Bilateral peering can be a tagged or untagged interface assigned to one flat IX VLAN.
- The same physical port can be used for multiple bilateral peering sessions.
- You can exchange routes with peers with no involvement from Equinix.
-
Equinix assigns one IP per port from the local metro IP pool for peering.
