Ports

Ports are physical or virtual interfaces through which traffic flows to and from Equinix Fabric. In most cases, these ports are identical to the other ports available through Equinix Fabric for other products. Customers procure ports globally at Equinix data centers, and then use Equinix Fabric to interconnect with service providers, other Equinix Fabric participants, and their own networks.

Access Ports

To access ports:

  1. Log in to Equinix Fabric.

  2. From the Ports menu, select Port Inventory.

  3. Use the context switcher and select a project to display ports associated with the selected project, or choose an organization to display ports associated with projects nested under the selected organization.

Note: Applicable to organizations transitioned to Equinix Identity and Access Management.

Manage Your Ports

To find a port, go to the Search Ports by Name text field and enter the name of the port that you want to locate.

The filter bar contains a number of options that enable you to sort and narrow your search results. You can sort your ports based on their location, name, cable ID, and date created. To sort your results, click the drop-down list for each category.

Port Utilization Statistics

You can view the utilization of a port by selecting that port from the inventory view. Information is available for outbound (egress) and inbound (ingress) utilization, maximum and averages for either predetermined time periods, or custom data ranges. The data is displayed in a graphical format.

Pricing and Billing
