Connect My Assets to a Service Profile
If you have an existing private service profile, you can create a virtual connection within your company’s Equinix Fabric deployment by connecting your ports or virtual devices to that service profile.
This feature is available for any Fabric customer, including sub-accounts of resellers.

Sign in to Equinix Fabric.

From the Connections menu, select Create Connection.

On the Connect assets to a Service Profile card, click Create Connection.

Select a service profile and click Create Connection.

Use one of these options to select the origin location:

Port – Select a metro and a port

Service Token – Enter a token, then select a metro and a port

Virtual Device – Select a metro and a virtual or redundant device, or a cluster

Select a port in the origin location. Hover over the port to see the associated billing account and cable ID.

Select a Destination metro, then click Next.

Complete the Connection Details section.

If you are using redundant devices to set up a virtual device connection:

Select a Connection Speed, a secondary Connection Speed (if needed), then click Next.
The connection is automatically provisioned.

Review the Connection Summary and Pricing Overview information. Add an optional email address for Notifications, then click Submit Order.
The Connections Inventory section of the portal shows the status of this new connection. The Service Profile Name is My Port to Port Connection.
