Connect to Another Fabric Customer’s EPL Port

Equinix Fabric supports using a Z-side token with an EPL port so that you (A-side) can connect to another Fabric customer (Z-side) using their EPL port. The Z-side must have an EPL port and generate a Z-side token. The A-side uses the token to create a connection to the Z-side EPL port. To create a connection to another Fabric customer’s EPL port:

1. After you receive the Z-side token, sign in to Equinix Fabric.

2. From the Connections menu, select Create Connection.
   

3. On the Connect using Service Token card, click Enter Service Token.

   

4. In the Redeem Service Token prompt, paste the service token provided by the service provider.

   

5. Click Validate. The connection order workflow will display.

6. In the Origin section, click Port.

7. Select an origin location and an available port in that location. Only EPL ports will display.

8. Click Next.

9. In the Connection Information section, enter:

   • Connection – The name of the connection.

   • Purchase Order Number – The PO number.

10. Select an available Connection Speed. Bandwidth options are limited to those allowed by the vendor.

11. Click Next.

12. Review the Connection Summary and Pricing Overview information.

13. Add an optional email address for Notifications.

14. Click Submit Order.

The Connections Inventory section of the portal shows the status of this new connection. Click Go to Inventory in the Success page to access your Connections Inventory.
