Yes, Equinix Internet Access supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Yes, Equinix Internet Access uses a minimum of two ISPs at each metro for greater redundancy and higher availability. See the Upstream Providers listed by location.

Yes. Equinix Internet Access provides the IP addresses for connectivity from your equipment to the Internet Access service. You can use your own subnet behind the demarcation point, or you can purchase the addresses from Equinix.

For single-port connections from your equipment to the Equinix Internet Access platform, you can choose between static, direct, and BGP options. For dual-port connections, you can choose between VRRP static, VRRP direct, and BGP options.

The Internet Access dual-port service uses separate chassis and physical path diversity wherever possible.

Equinix Internet Access pricing is based on these elements:

• Port speed – Available at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps (includes a Cross Connect to Equinix Connect). In some locations, 100 Gbps is available.

• Configuration – Either single-port (one connection) or dual-port (two separate connections).

• Bandwidth commitment – For the best value and performance, select the bandwidth closest to your projected maximum usage.

• (Optional) Additional IP allocation – If necessary, you can purchase blocks of IP addresses.

Yes, POs can be used to order Internet Access dedicated ports and Internet Access with Network Edge virtual devices. Ordering with a PO is optional for these connections, unless you use a PO bearing billing account (which requires the use of a PO).

• Your PO must be valid (non-expired), the type must be Blanket, and more than 0 value must be available.

• Category is Interconnection (or All).

• Location includes the IBX where the device is connected (or All Locations).

Equinix counts the number of bits in the outbound direction from the user’s IP addresses. The total for the previous month is stored. The bits are converted to gigabytes (GB) and multiplied by the price per GB. The user account is then charged this amount for the previous month.

Physically moving one end of any live interconnection service is referred to as migration. This involves moving the A-side or Z-side of the service from one cage or cabinet to another within the metro.

To migrate an interconnection service, you must submit a request for scheduled maintenance. Gather details about the physical connection, the cages, and the maintenance schedule. Send this information to the region’s migration team. • If the circuit is not live, you can use the Equinix Customer Portal to submit a de-install order and an install order with the new demarcation required. There is no need to contact the migration team.

• If internal patching is required, use the Customer Portal to create a Smart Hands order, and choose the Move Cables order type.

Users can’t use ECP to make changes directly to their existing Internet Access services. However, for dedicated port services, Equinix Support can take care of some changes offline. For example, you can contact Support to request Move, Add, Change, or Delete (MACD) changes to these features:

• Bandwidth

• Billing type

• Redundancy (for example, changing between single-homed and dual-homed configurations)

• Port configuration and IP address combinations

Note: No changes can be made to existing Internet Access with Fabric services.
