Unitas Global allows you to acquire network access to and from enterprise locations. This platform uses geospatial data and a sophisticated algorithm to identify, design, price, and order access connectivity from enterprise locations to Equinix IBX data centers.

To use Unitas Global to obtain network access from remote locations:

  1. Login to the ECX FabricECX Fabric is an advanced interconnection solution that improves performance by providing a direct, private network connection portal, select Explore, then search for Last mile access. Or, select Last Mile Access from the Suggested Services section.

  2. Select Get Last Mile Access from Unitas Global’s service profile. You are sent to the Unitas Global portal to request a quote.

  3. From the Unitas Global portal, view the quote, then select Order. Complete and submit the order form.
  4. Return to the ECX Fabric portal and create a connection to the Unitas service profile from your ECX port or virtual device.

  5. Create a virtual connection to Unitas Access Services.

    ECX Fabric customers can create a virtual connection over the ECX Fabric from either their ECX port or a Virtual DeviceThe Virtual Device is the software "image" that launches on the ENE platform when a user selects a device. The device could be a router, firewall or other types. This image is generally specific to a vendor (for example: Cisco) and specific device ID that the vendor has integrated with our platform. From this Virtual Device, you can create connections like you would from a port on ECX. to their network services ordered through the Unitas Cloud Connectivity Management platform (CCM).

Connect network services in the ECX Fabric portal

  1. Log into the ECX portal and select Create Connections.
  2. Locate the Unitas Global service profile named Last Mile Access: 500+ carriers, 85+ countries by connecting to a service provider and searching for Unitas or Last mile access.

  3. Select the ECX port or virtual device that is the origin of the virtual connection.

    Upon success, the connection status becomes Not Provisioned until it's accepted by Unitas Global. Once the ConnectionConnection is a general term that refers to any solution that results in the ability to pass data from one point to another. Connections can be made with Layer 2 or Layer 3 technology, may involve several parts or components and can be created from the portal or with APIs in a variety of ways. is accepted, the connection is automatically provisioned within ECX and the connection status changes to Provisioned.

  4. This new Connection can be viewed or modified at any time.
