Managed Object Storage
Equinix Data Platform: Managed Object Storage is the Simple Storage Service of Equinix Managed Services based on NetApp StorageGRID S3 Object Storage solution.
This guide explains how to access the Managed Object Storage portal and how to create your first data bucket.
Concepts
Tenant
A Tenant defines the customer within the StorageGRID portal. Within the tenant entvironement it is possible to manage your buckets and users.
Local Users
A local user is located in the StorageGRID database and is unrelated with any other federated identity provider.
S3 Bucket
The bucket is a container in which objects are placed.
Quota
Quota refers to the total available size for the Tenant (in GB).
Region
Location of the data center.

Managed Object Storage URL

Allow List
IP addresses that are allowed to access the Tenant Portal and/or the Managed Object Storage.
Onboarding
During the Managed Object Storage onboarding process you receive the following information:

One root account with “root” permissions within the Tenant environment.

StorageGRID Tenant name and Account ID.

StorageGRID Tenant Portal and Managed Object Storage URLs.

Username and password.

The ordered Quota.
-
IP addresses on the allow-list.
