Organization in vCloud Directory is a security demarcation point. The created Organization provides resources in the form of Organization Virtual Data-centers.
Administrators of the Organization or administrators of your user can be created here. At least one management user is created during delivery, and thereafter you can create your own administrators with the necessary rights yourself.
Equinix Managed Services provides a standard federated authentication mechanism. For other password related services you can use policies like multi-factor authentication. You can also link your own federated authentication source to the Organization, like Microsoft ADFS or other variants that use SAML or Open ID.
Note: Up to one federation per Organization can be configured.
Organization Virtual Data-center
The Organization Virtual Data-center (Org VDC) is your virtual data-center that offers CPU, memory, and storage. You can have multiple data-centers with different characteristics, considering the geographic details of an Equinix IBX (Amsterdam (AM3/4), Zwolle (ZW1) or Enschede (EN1) ), or other guarantee values.
If the existing capacity is not sufficient, you can request an increase via Equinix Self-Service, or you can contact your Service Delivery Manager.
