Orders Dashboard
The Orders dashboard shows the most recent orders submitted from all sources (the portal, the mobile app, the Global Service Desk, the CSMs, etc.).
The infographic shows statistics for the last 200 orders. The donut chart is segmented into multiple categories (such as Cross Connect, Smart Hands, Trouble Tickets, and Shipments). Hover the mouse over a segment to see the category name, or click a segment to display the recent orders/tickets for that category.
Next to the chart, the orders are segmented into categories for Order Received, In Progress, Pending Action Required, and Completed. Click one of these tiles to display the recent orders/tickets for that category.
You can also filter the list by Ordering Contact and IBX, and you can sort the list by order number, type, or created date.
Click View All Orders at the bottom to go to the Orders and Tickets History screen.
This tile gives you quick access to your support cases. For more on this, see Support Center.
The Message Center in the side panel gives you quick access to your messages from Equinix, your recently generated reports, and your recent notifications from Equinix.
The Message Center has 3 tabs:
-
Messages – Shows order-related messages from Equinix that require a response. Click a message to open a window where you can respond. Once a response is entered, the message notification is removed from the Message Center. (Only the Ordering contact or Technical contact can respond to these messages.)
-
Orders On Hold – Shows your orders on PII (Post Initial Install) hold. Click an event to go to the Orders and Tickets History screen. Then hover the mouse over the Action Required indicator (in the Status column) and click Respond. (Only the Ordering contact or Technical contact can respond to these events.)
-
Storage Items – (Requires Shipment permissions) Shows any unannounced shipments awaiting your acceptance or rejection. Click an item to go to the Unannounced Shipments screen. See Unannounced Shipments to an IBX.
-
User Registrations – (For administrators only) Shows user accounts awaiting your approval. After you've invited a new user to the portal, and once the user has accepted the invitation and completed their registration, the user registration awaits your approval. Click to go to the User Management screen and view the accounts that are Pending Approval. Click at the end of the row and select an option to approve or reject the user registration. Once an action is taken, the event is removed from the Message Center, and the user's status is updated.
Tip: You can also approve/reject user registrations in bulk. See Administrator Responsibilities.
The Notifications tab shows your recent notifications (for the last 30 days), categorized by type (IBX notifications, network notifications, order notifications, and more). Click an item to go to the Notification Center.
For more information, see Notification Center.
Tip: You can also click (in the upper right corner of the portal window) to quickly access notifications that require action.
The Reports tab shows your recently generated reports. Reports are generated via the Report Center and appear in the Reports tab for 7 days. Click the download icon to save the report to your local device. You can also click View All to go to Reports Center.
For more about reports, see Report Center.
When creating a new order, if you save the order instead of submitting it, it goes to your shopping cart. To see your saved/draft orders, click in the upper-right corner of the portal window. The number on the cart indicates the number of saved orders in your cart. From the shopping cart, you can either delete the draft order, or edit it and submit it.
Note: This feature is only available for specific order types, such as Smart Hands orders.
Tip: You can also access your draft orders from the Saved tab on the Orders and Tickets History screen.
