Digital LOA Statuses

The status for a Digital LOA describes where it is currently located in its workflow. The following sections describe all possible statuses, including those in the normal workflow:

  • Ready for Use
  • Locked
  • Used

Ready for use (A-side)

The Digital LOA can be used to order Cross Connects. The ports used in the LOA were reserved. The Digital LOA was sent to the A-side partner, notifying that it is enabled for use in the Cross Connects ordering process.

Ready for use (Z-side)

In this status, from the menu actions that are available on the Z-side, the Digital LOA can be:

* Cancelled.
* Resent to the A-side customer.
* A-side email changed, to change where the Digital LOA is sent before resending

Locked

The Digital LOA was used to submit a Cross Connects order, and the order is currently being processed by IBX technicians to establish the requested connections. All ports used during the creation of this Digital LOA remain reserved, because the Cross Connects order can still be canceled. If canceled, the Digital LOA returns to the Ready for use status, and the reserved ports become available again.

In the Locked status, all ports remain reserved until the order is completed. If only one connection from a multi-connection LOA is used, the remaining ports are released only when the LOA reaches a final status: Used, Cancelled, or Expired.

Used

The Digital LOA was used for Cross Connects ordering and the order was successfully processed, so the connection was established. All the unused ports in this Digital LOA are unreserved.

Cancelled

The Digital LOA was cancelled by its creator. All the ports used in this Digital LOA are unreserved.

note

A Digital LOA can be cancelled when it is in any of the following statuses: Ready for Use, Pending Requestor Acceptance, Pending Authorization.

Expired

The Digital LOA expiry date has passed. All the ports used in this Digital LOA are now unreserved.

Pending Requestor Acceptance

The Digital LOA was created, but for security reasons, the intended user must confirm it. This happens when the partner was not selected from the list of partners provided in the LOA Manager in the Customer Portal. The A-side customer receives an email that includes a link to click for automatic verification. In this status, the Digital LOA can be cancelled.

Pending Authorization

After the Digital LOA was created and the A-side partner was authenticated, the Z-side partner must approve the data gathered by the authentication process by clicking the link inside the email. Then the Digital LOA status changes to Ready for use. In this status, the Digital LOA can be cancelled.
