Flex Space

Equinix Flex Space units offer non-cage space within (or near) an International Business Exchange (IBX) data center.

Features​

All Flex Spaces offer:

  • Access – If your Flex Space is at an IBX with 24/7 operations (see Locations and Availability), you can access your space 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Security – Flex Space access is controlled by biometric security devices. Entry points are monitored by video surveillance. Flex Space entry follows our Global IBX Policies.
  • Safety – All locations are equipped with smoke detection units, fire suppression systems / fire alarms (per code).

Unit Types​

Flex Space offers two types of units:

  • Flex Office Space - Dedicated office spaces, with access to conference rooms, restrooms, kitchenette, break room, FAX, etc.

    • Power and HVAC - Unconditioned power, per code. Power termination at wall-mounted outlets. Additional unconditioned power circuits/outlets available (additional fees apply). HVAC service with an adjustable interior thermostat
    • Demarcation - Cross connect delivery to these units via a wall-mounted patch panel as the demarcation point. Standard cross connect access via shared cable tray. Shared path to the colocation area and termination of cross connects at demarcation.
    • Supports Occupancy.

  • Flex Storage Space - For secure staging or to store equipment or replacement parts. Does not support Occupancy.
